Who we are

Letter Sorted is run by Ivan Soloviov, trading as UK Life Sorted, based in Scotland. Ivan is the data controller for any personal information you send us. Contact: letters@uklifesorted.co.uk.

What we collect

If you email us a letter, we receive your email address and the photo or file you send, which may contain personal details. Please cover up your National Insurance number, bank details and anything we don't need before sending.

Why we use it

Only to explain your letter and reply to you. Our lawful basis is your request (taking steps at your request). We don't sell your data or use your letter for marketing.

How long we keep it

We delete your letter and our email thread within 60 days of replying, unless you ask us to keep helping you. Ask us and we'll delete it straight away.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time by emailing us. If you're unhappy with how we've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

This website

Who else handles your data

Letters you email us arrive through Apple (iCloud Mail) and are handled in Google (Gmail), so they're stored on Apple's and Google's servers until we delete them. We use an AI assistant (Claude, by Anthropic) to sort incoming emails and draft our replies from the text of your email. A person checks every reply before it's sent. These companies process your data only to provide their service to us.

This site doesn't use cookies, advertising or tracking, and loads nothing from third parties. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes basic technical data, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site.
